My 2nd 5 minutes of fame :-)

Well no one was more surprised than me when my neighbour was telling me that my general manager was in the local paper! I asked if I could see the paper and once she had rescued it from the recycling I was gob-smacked. The photograph that accompanied the article was mine!

I had taken the photograph at the opening of a local charity shop which my general manager attended. I went along to take photographs for our store magazine.

The funny thing is, I wasn't too confident to push my way to the front of the professional photographers. So i decided to capture the back of the papps and i've captured the real feel of the event.

I will scan the article in very soon - yay me :-)

My five minutes of fame :-)

I was approached by a wonderful lady earlier this year who had spotted a photo of my dog Joe. She contacted me as she was putting together a website of photographs and quotes, a kind of collection of literature relating to man's relationship with animals.

I was very honored and thrilled to be able to help as I loved the idea of her concept plus I was so excited that a photo of my favourite animal would be used.

After some time and just as i was forgetting all about it, I received a mail to say the site is up and running :-)

My 1st Photography assignment :-)

Well this week I've had my very first photography assignment and it was brilliant :-)

It was a Battle of the Bands audition through my work and I was asked to photograph the final leg of the search for the best band.

The venue was the Hard Rock Cafe, Manchester and I was so worried about the lighting etc but the results were pretty good for a first attempt.

More to come....

365 Project - June 2010

Another month and I am determined to get through this one with no technical interruptions etc!!

It has become so apparent to me just how much I love flowers and can't seem to get away from having to photograph them, I must try and be more creative with my subjects!
